Writing Guidelines

designeRoof is looking for articles, ideas, designs or portfolios. There’re no limit to words, if you submit your work with only 30 words and a picture, we accept!

All creations, ideas and portfolios are acceptable, and articles that don’t fit neatly into any categories are welcome too, as we will place them in accordance whichever fits best. We are a design, arts and creativity website, if articles submitted are anything but those, please do not send it to us.

We cater to all readership from different walks of life, age, countries, race and gender. So we strictly forbid contents that are gratuitous sex and violence, or pointlessly foul language; no gambling, insulting or any acts that are against the law.

It ought to go without saying that any articles/ projects submitted to designeRoof must be your own original creation. If stories are not yours, please include designer’s name with link or source.

Submission Process

All stories must be submitted through our online form below – we do not accept stories via email or snail mail.

Our target response time is two weeks, and we will do our best to give you an acceptance or refusal within that time period, or at least provide an update if our decision is delayed.

Multiple Submissions & Simultaneous Submissions

Multiple submissions are acceptable; you may have up to three stories in our submission process at any one time. However, please don’t try to upload more than one story at a time into the submission form–each story must be submitted separately.

When you submit using our online form, you will grant us the autonomy of right to publish your story if we select it for designeRoof.
